D-M9BW compatible magnetic switch for pneumatic cylinders
A D-M9BW magnetic switch for detecting the piston position of a
pneumatic cylinder, supplied as a compatible (non-genuine) replacement for
the equivalent SMC D-M9BW code. The switch is not manufactured by SMC: the body carries the
UKR mark. It is a drop-in replacement for the original part, matching the
published SMC specification for that code - the electrical ratings, wiring and lead options
are listed below.
Use it to confirm that a cylinder has fully extended or fully retracted, or to feed
position feedback to a PLC or relay. On a solid state version the output is an open-collector
transistor for direct connection to a PLC input; on a reed version the output is a
normally-open reed contact that needs a load connected in series with it.
