MVSC-300-4E1 Compatible DC24V Pneumatic Solenoid Valve for XYZ 560 Mini Mill & 710 VMC

Compatible replacement pneumatic solenoid valve, 5 port 2 position single solenoid with spring return, 3/8″ NPT ports, 0.2-0.8 MPa, 30mm aluminium body, 24V DC coil. Fits the XYZ 560 Mini Mill and XYZ 710 VMC in place of the original MVSC-300-4E1 valve (XYZ spare 10082).

Compatible replacement MVSC-300-4E1 DC24V solenoid valve — a 5 port, 2 position, single solenoid with spring return pneumatic directional control valve for the XYZ 560 Mini Mill and XYZ 710 VMC. It fits in place of the original MVSC-300-4E1 valve used on those machines, which XYZ sells as spare part 10082.

Important: This is not a genuine Mindman part. It is a compatible replacement valve built to the same MVSC-300-4E1 specification, for use where the original valve has failed or is unavailable. It is supplied under the CMTS brand. Please note that if your machine requires a specific brand, specify this when ordering.

Where it is used on the XYZ 560 and 710 VMC

The valve sits in the pneumatic control circuit and switches supply air to the actuator it drives. Typical duties on the 560 and 710 are:

• Coolant control — switching coolant supply to the spindle and way nozzles.
• Chip conveyor direction — reversing the conveyor air motor to clear swarf from the coolant tank.
• Work clamping and unclamping — holding the workpiece in the vice and releasing it for the tool change cycle.
• Tool unclamping — releasing the drawbar in the unclamp sequence.
• Door and cover interlocks — on machines with a pneumatically operated slide or guard.

How it works

This is a 5 ported 4 way directional control valve used to move cylinders or actuators. Supply pressure is connected to the centre port on the side of the valve with the 3 ports. The outlet ports on the opposite side connect to each side of a cylinder or actuator, so the pressure holds the cylinder in one position while the other side is exhausted. When voltage is applied to the solenoid the spool shifts, sending air to the opposite side of the cylinder while exhausting the side that was pressurised, which moves the cylinder. When the voltage is removed the spring returns the spool and the cylinder returns to its original position.

Fitting notes

Match the part number before ordering — the 4E1 suffix denotes the 5 port single solenoid version, and the coil voltage must match your machine supply. The MVSC-300 is also available in other port sizes and voltages, so quote MVSC-300-4E1 and the voltage when ordering. Fittings and tubing for 3/8" NPT are not included.
