The AF0510T-CA mini is a compact air-cooled hydraulic oil cooler for CNC hydraulic systems, hydraulic power units and small industrial circuits. It is an aluminium alloy plate-fin heat exchanger with a 120 mm axial fan, sized for 5 L/min of oil through the core on low-pressure circuits.
Two fan supplies are available - 24 V DC and 110 V AC. The cooler body, plate-fin core, port thread and mounting brackets are identical on both; only the fan motor differs, so match the voltage to your machine before you order.
Where it goes in the circuit. Fit the cooler in the return line back to the tank, not straight off the pump outlet. Hot oil enters at the marked inlet and leaves at the outlet, and the pressure at the cooler inlet must stay low - keep it under 10 bar. If the pump can dead-head against the core, fit a bypass or relief valve set just above the cooler's inlet pressure rating, so a blocked or fouled cooler cannot stall the pump.
Mounting and hose. The core needs clear airflow - keep it away from the fan inlet, from chip guards and out of any recirculating warm air. Fix it through the two bracket holes (55 mm between centres) and leave room to pull the fan for servicing. Use two lengths of hydraulic hose rated for the circuit pressure, and seal the pipe to the port properly: PTFE tape alone is not adequate on high-pressure oil lines - use a bonded seal or the correct face seal.

Taken from the supplier's dimensional drawing: 149.64 mm overall width, 152 mm overall height, 115 mm between the port centres, 120 mm across the mounting brackets and 55 mm between the bracket fixing holes. The drawing does not print a unit - millimetres has been assumed. Check the drawing against your space before ordering.
About the photographs. The unit supplied on this page has the 24 V DC fan fitted. The photographs show the same cooler with the 230 V AC fan fitted. This is the 24 V DC version - the fan is a 120 x 120 x 38 mm DC axial fan, wired with the two leads supplied. It suits machines with a 24 V DC control supply, which is the common arrangement on CNC hydraulic power units. If your machine's fan supply is AC, do not fit this one.
